Well it ain't no FoMoCo vehicle, so I won't be too mad if this thread gets moved to some place else, but still...

Tough lookin' truck, Ivan! But what's the story on that beautiful Lincoln in the background? :p

Actually I'm surprised there ain't two of them in there - my carport neighbour drives a newer Continental, nice car but has a big-ass crack across the bottom of the windshield. And mine just looks like shit now, well maybe not exactly right now cause it's raining outside and I'm at school (no cover over car), but generally it's pretty damn dirty and therefore ugly. And the pushbar is trying to rust too, it's just the light surface stuff but it's annoying me, I'm getting it repainted the moment it becomes halfway warm and dry out there.

Ahhhh, I love stepside. I had an 80 stepside that color that was lowered, had weld racing wheels with 275/60r16's on the back. Too bad it failed the safety horribly, and the guy bought it back off of me. Nice truck Ivan.

Yep, club is needed - without a club one is like a flip of a switch away from starting and driving the mini-monster, and it also starts in gear too, lol

Nice. Reminds me of my old 76 and 78. I would definately get some street tires on that thing, not as tall and nice and wide. But I guess they fit better on a truck then a lincoln though.lol What are the specs on your engine, a stock rebuild or what?

Nice color. I've always liked orange on trucks.

Appears pretty rust free too. Don't see many stepsides any more. I like where they put the fuel door.

A buddy of mine is fixing an '84 Blazer. He's been trying to blow up the original 305 4V but isn't having any luck.

It had street tires on the front, 245/60-15s look badass when mounted on 8" rims, but it's just not my thing - it'd a shitload of time and money to make it handle well, and if I can't have the handling why have the shitty stiff ride? These tires fit nicely and ride well, I'm happy with them. Engine is just a typical 350, I ported the heads a little and threw some towing RV cam in it, but that's about where it ends for now. I'm getting my new Offenhauser intake tomorrow, and a Holley 4165 some time over the weekend, so that and some better exhaust (probably 2.5" duals, single merge is a pain in the ass to make without special equipment) oughta wake it up pretty nicely. It's not too much of an engine, but in can tow a Buick Intrigue while simply idling in 1st

Tell yer friend to get rid of the oil, it's a SBC so that'll kill it for sure, still gonna take some time tho. About the rust, I guess it ain't really a rust bucket, but it don't have a floorpan on the driver side either, and the steps of the bed are trying to rust through. Don't really care much tho, as long as it's dependable and hauls ass it don't matter how crappy it looks.

Awesome truck. That 350 ought to make it scream. I want an old Chevy pickup, only i'd like mine to have 4WD.

No wonder it doesn't run right. The AC and cruise control is missing! Looks to be fairly solid. Lots of trucks from that era are rustbuckets.

                              new goodies

Well I finally got to better my bitch a little, yesterday she received a new front hitch and a "new" wind deflector. Also the hydroboost got replaced, another $20 j/y module but this one ain't leaking in the cab like the old one Pics:

And for yer enjoyment here are two nicer shots of my V8s:

The hitch is supposed to hold up to 7000lbs, tho ball itself is only rated at 3500lbs. Got the hitch brand new for $45 from a friend who sold his full-size Blazer long long ago.

Also tomorrow or Tuesday I'm getting my exhaust parts delivered, so by the end of the week I may actually see gas mileage better than 5mpg, lol
