NP Pete, glad it went to a good cause! No shift kit, but when I re-built it I made the direct clutch pack a little tight, so that it would shift a little better than stock.
I went ahead and bought a new re-man alternator -$100 with discount!! :hairraise: I went with USA brand rebuilt from Fishers, since the one on the 85 is doing great (after 3 discount store alternators)
The battery light had been on for about year, but just recently the volts took a dip. Then even more volts drop in the last couple days so I just bough a new one for times sake and for the warranty.
I also plan to move the front 235 tires to the rear, and put on some fresher 225's on the front. The 255's are getting a little too big... yes it seems like they are growing.
Ill have to turn the white letters in to match, but oh well. I like variety. Im even considering thinline whitewalls for the 17" steelies...
I tired to clean the contacts in the multifunction switch today... no luck. It was all old cooked grease inside the thing, but freshening the contacts up with emory cloth and clean grease didnt help... guess Ill be trying an eBay switch.
I adjusted my shift indicator while I was down there, and fixed a small vacuum leak, so the afternoon wasnt a total loss.
i got like a question or somthin...whats up with the clock?

MMMmmmmmm this thing is so smooth and quiet... haven't done anything to it but drive it lately.
I figured out a minor mystery draw the other night... I happened to notice the illuminated entry key lights barely had a faint glow left after the delay timer clicked off. Sure enough the door panel lights were just barely lit too... turned out the RR door switch is going bad. Now unplugged and forgotten!
I plan to get some decent snow tires to put on her, in case we get more mess this winter.
