I figured out how to lower the warning mode on the oil gauge... I set it to 15psi and quickie installed an LED strip/tube under the ashtray.
Im also doing a pre-festival pre-cleaning, including finaly washing ALL the glass after 6 months of ownership. I think Im going to keep the turbines on it for the trip... run 38 psi for less baloon feel and better mpg?? The steelies got to go last year, so I guess its the turbines turn again.

been driving the hell out of this one... since the last post took it to scottfest and back, then 7 hours to Ohio - there and back twice... 22mpg in the cool A/C the whole way.

As part of getting the state inspector's liscence was forced to fix her up tip-top, meaning a new smog crossover pipe, valve cover gaskets, freshened up E-brake light switch, one rotor/front pads, bearings, snugged the steering box lash up, headlights aimed...

Now its time to take the 85 to a whole nubba' lebel...

its been 3 months... all Ive done is changed the oil and washed the tires. is this wrong???

oh yeah... havent done anything to the 85 either... except drive it. damn winter...

I guess I should note the incident here too...

so the transmission started to get a little more slippy recently, and sure enough after servicing it, it shat the bed. 2nd gear is gone... I was mentally prepared to part it out, but by the grace of the great box panther spirit, A fellow user near me needed to get rid of a fresh transmission cheap. Thanks Jonnie!

She will live on...

nope still got it. Im driving it all this week while the 91 waits for its replacement mobility unit... she's been very patient.

The trans is in... swapping the gear selector lever was a :hairraise: but everything seems like it went well. She's shifting better than she ever has, even under a load, nice smooth direct shifts.
Downshifts when she should it seems, so I hope i dont have tofiddle with the TV pressure.

The tranny from the 91 already had a nice layer of black in the pan... 50 miles after its service... I guess the clean fluid washed all the dirt oof the friction materiel and left nothing to grip!

I had to cut out a section of the smog tubing to the cats, and i still need to find some high temp rubber hose for the job. It sounds like ass with those tubes fluttering exhaust out so shes still parked for now.
