No he really cut it off.

The kill switch seems like a good idea. Why not just a batt. kill switch, concealed somewhere?

Theres nothing to steal in my car either. I have a radio now, but its concealed. The kill switch should ensure no vehicle theft though.

Minimal current on the ignition coil, probably 10 amps or less.

Too easy to figure out - you turn key, nothing comes alive, either battery is dead, or there's a switch - if you know anything about cars finding it will be no problem. With the coil off tho, crank all you want, it will seem just like a bad engine, which if you think about it is a real good reason for "destroying" a car by making it a full-time open-top.

No shit man, also some things you don't see - the "rollbar" actually consist of two roof crossmembers stacked on top of each other, all the vinyl trim you see there had to come off, for which most interior panels needed pulled too Quite the fun, but I had the whole labor day weekend, and let me tell ya it was all well worthy

Yeah, behind the alternator seems like a good place, seeing how it's got a splash shield over it and there's also a massive harness stuck in there too.

What do you plan to do in the winter, with drifting snow and such? Since your obviously not driving it.

what the neighbor does with his classic Mercedes-Benz convertible - buy a car cover and wrap her nicely for hibernation

I like it more like that, no other like it on the road round here. Before it was just a supped-up POS, now it's an unique supped-up POS, lol

I dunno, I think it has the potential to be kinda neat, but I'd like to see it with an actual convertible top...leaving the B-pillar crosspiece there...ehh...not sure I like that, but I see why it was necessary. I suppose you could get some lap belts for it, but of course you'd lose some safety that way, and I'm not sure if it'd be legal or not.

Anyway, looks like you did a smooth job of the cutting on it!

I like being able to close up the door windows and kill the wind inside, with no B-pillars that's impossible. And you got the seatbelt issue right, I like having some better than having none when it comes to restrains from smashing my head on the steering wheel
