I ought to re-color my bumper guards and bump strips as well, they're faded, but so is the rest of the car so they sort of blend in. Not sure if its true on a Vic or Marq, but Towncar mouldings have color-matched inserts, so if I re-sprayed all the ones on the side of the car, the faded black paint would be even more obvious.

I'm a little late here, but I love that 89 PI. I'd say black it all out and complete the look. I don't remember what those PI's looked like, but the new ones are all black (to match the black paint???) with a black grill guard. They look tough like that, but I don't know what you want to do with that 89. I've been using what little cerebral power I have to come up with an idea for my ma's grille on her CV. All of the chrome coating on the plastic came off and now has that grey plastic look. I'm thinking of blacking it out as well and then stick some fog lights behind the grill. Nice PI, can't wait to see what you do with it.

Thanks, man. I appreciate the compliments. As far as the grille on your mom's CV, I'd say either chrome or black. IMHO, the gray plastic wouldn't look very good.

And as for what I'm going to do with it...heh heh heh...this is going to be a fun car when it's finished...
