88-91 Grand Marquis bumper without the plate mount?

Do they exist? At some point, I want to clean up the front end a bit, and if I can find a bumper that doesn't have a plate mount AT ALL, there's my legal way to not run front plates. In NH if the car has a front plate mount, you have to have a front plate. Say the previous owner removed the plate mount, it is my job to find another one so I can run the front plates. If there's not even a spot to put the plate mount, I can run with just the back plate. If the NH DOT wants me to buy a new front bumper just so I have to run two plates, they can shit in a hat for all I care.

There are none without the holes to mount one. At least I have NEVER seen one. My first '88 didn't have the plate mount but still had the holes.

I Usually dont run a front plate anyway, they really dont bother ya out here with it. But id much rather take the side bumper mount plate than the center mount

NJ requires front plates under all circumstances to my knowlege. I hate front plates, I think they make the bumper look poopy but I don't have much choice in the matter.

Maybe you could stick some kinda chrome head bolts in there, like bumper bolts....make it look like they're holding the bumper on lol.

Hmmm, I see the holes for the bumper guards but I don't see holes for the plate mount.

Yup, I just spent 3 hours browsing CarDomain, and all the bumpers without plate mounts have the holes.

I might have what you need out in my building.

I have a couple of extra bumpers I got in trade. One of them is off of a MGM, and it has a straight strip (like the ones on either side of the bumper guards) that goes across the middle where the plate mount is at on a vic.

IIRC you could put that on a vic bumper in place of the plate holder, and there would be no holes left.

I'll take a look some time this week.

Here in Maryland you have to have a front plate as well...Although I see plenty of people driving without them...Ah well...That just gives me another place to mount a custom license plate frame.
