I installed the cowl scoop today. I now have a 2.5" blue cowl on my hood. Pics later, camera batteries went dead right as i took the picture

The scoop is fiberglass. the black stuff you see is 3M Panel Bonding Adhesive. Right now there is about 10 rivets holding the hood on since the adhesive takes 24 hours to cure and i had to drive it home. The rivets will be drilled out and the scoop will be blended into the hood.

Looks like an old Firebird style reverse cowl deal. Hm, I wonder if one of the old Trans Am ones that attached to the air cleaner lid and went through a hole in the hood would look OK on one of these cars.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

So far it appears to have droppe dthe tranny temps more than 10 degrees. a few weeks on the drive from work to home (about 3 miles) the tranny temp got up to about 210 degrees. Sunday the tranny was warm, the weather was hotter, and the tranny only got up to around 200. Also the engine coolant is taking longer to get up to 185 and i can run with the fan off for longer.http://secondhandracing.com/Home.aspx
