well guys i didit i finaly finished it no more wood pics will be up soon i started at 11:30 today with only have a fender and one door done and just stopped at 2:30 and i got the whole car stripped now tomorrow i m going to grind off all thew little knobs and than work on getting all the adhisive off it was hard work but worth it so here is the final conclusion HEAT GUN: works but if u wanna spend over a 100 hours on the wood go ahead be my geust but its a pain fair warning WOOD Striper: i used this on my first days and it work faster than the heat gun but slow than using my new stripper know this is what i used the brand and everything and when u let it settle for 15 minutes the whole sheet of vinyl will come off but my suggestion is to bring the car in the shade b/c if u dont it still works but the sun makes the vinyl weaker so that you cant pull it. So for what i used Dads Easy Spray Paint, Stain & Varnish Remover with spray bottel included know when you use this stuff go to homedpot or lowes and get urself a paint suit b/c it burns and rubber gloves that are GOOD FOR STRIPPER not ordinary dish wasing gloves and also get yourself some goggles and a mask b/c this crap smells and can make you go blind nd it burns real bad have all of body protect and dont spill on yourself u will need to go to the hospital ( lucky i didnt do that) so than u spray evenly on entire panel in which you were doing let it sit for 15 minutes like i said than take puddy knife or scraper and put it behind the vinyl and pull up till u have enough vinyl that you can pull the whole sheet of but have a ll clips and any that is easy removeable I didnt take out my handles and key wholes on driver an passenger front door but i sugest doing tha to make you save time in the end and remove all badges that exhist on the car than just pull till it all gone and it works like a charm pics later tonite or 2morrow SOOOOOOOOOOOo tired

            :stupid:
You're hard to understand some times.
But that's adds to the excitement. It'd be boring if everyone was as easy as Tom!

Good work on getting the vinyl off! Did it strip the paint any? Glad you're finally starting to take some steps to get that thing where you want it- you'll have a clean ride when it's done, I'm sure.

JUST REMEMBER: ONE STEP AT A TIME. Otherwise, you end up looking at the past eight months, wondering why you haven't been able to drive your fucking piece of shit station wagon despite every spare dollar you've owned (plus some) going into it.

3m adhesive remover sucks, Acetone works good but it can strip the paint.

                        Stripper

Tools:2 puddy knives, on rasor scraper, rubber gloves, mask, googles, paint suit

This is before using new stripper it looks good now but i paint it

                        Before on other side

After using new stripper first day; drivers door, some reason took alot of paint from body off

After Day three on project, Day 2 with good stripper total I would say 5 hours went into removin the wood no adhisive or knobs
