    Taillight delete?

Once again goofing off in Paint Shop, I made this. I was about to trash it, when my dad walked in and was like "Hey that's cool!"

Something about it doesn't quite look right to me, it may just be that the colors are kinda off, but something still just doesn't look quite "right" about it. The taillights in the pic are 1939 Ford tail's, I actually have 6 of them here at the house I bought for a project a long time ago. Should I give this a go, or trash it like I first thought?

OK... I did another one with the lights further apart, and it doesn't look quite as retarded. But I'm still not sure if I like it or not. Whatcha think?

I think you're on to something. Instead of that shape of brake light lenses, you should try having three red versions of the backup lense for brake lights, vertical or horizontal.

You know, you can make a set of stock 84 lights look SICK.

By blacking out some of the bars and the slats with body colour paint.

I think the tear drop lights would look a lot better with a 45* inward tilt.

:stupid: Yes I also think those tear drops would look best at a 45* angle. How are you planning on shaving them, using metal or just fiberglassing over the existing tails and just gut them to have the tear drops put in? Shaving = teh win!

I like this most, the 45* angle thing will look kinda out of place on a straight edged car like yours. But, if you wanna go for the horizontal bar-type ones go all the way and make them pressure dependent - the more you press on the brakes, the more LEDs light up - I saw an SUV of some kind done like that years ago, it was really cool.
