Is there a way to adjust the trunk lid left and right? I see the 4 bolts allow it to go in and out, but dont see any way to shift it from side to side

don't believe so. should be able to get some angle on it if you slide one side in and the other side out. Also should have some adjustment on the striker and/or catch. Might be able to tweak it around enough to get it to sit right between those.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Yes you can adjust it side to side. Its called "bend-o-just" . (A term I learned when I was a body man.) Remove the striker. Open the lid a few inches. Have a friend pull the lid in the direction it needs to go. You give the lid a few shoves toward him. Don't go crazy, you can overdo it! Once it is centered, put the latch back on so it closes straight down. WagonMan89 Colony Park
