Yes, that is actually very much what it looks like. I believe the Black Beauty was based on a Chrysler Imperial though.

Chrysler actually made the Imperial it's own nameplate in 1955. There isn't a badge on the Imperials that say Chrysler. I learned that from here.
The seller of this 1964 Imperial four door calls it "beautiful" and I have to agree with him. It's for sale here on craigslist in Tucson, Arizona. I believe this is a Crown Imperial (not the more upscale LeBaron), of which 14,181 were made that year. This car is said to have only 88,000 miles,...
Thought that was interesting.

I bet it's got $3k of bondo. If not, the price is a bargain for the metal work if it suites your fancy. Not mine.1990 Country Squire - under restoration

Didn't know that. At one point the Continental was it's own name plate too. They resurrected it in 1984 for the Mark VII. The 84-85 Marks were a Continental Mark VII, they were not actually a Lincoln. Not a Lincoln badge to be found on them. I guess that got old quick because the 1986 model is a Lincoln Mark VII.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

It's neat, but it would look much better as a slick top and in a dark color...black or red would be nice.
I feel like the front leaves a lot to be desired using Taurus headlamps, they don't work very well with the whole package.

What it says to me is: Let's take this car that was rotting outside for ages, combine dodgy body work with shitty bright paint, neglect the engine bay, as no one cares how skank that is, throw some later style TC seats on and post on CL as "One of a kind ride." Pass.1985 LTD Crown Victoria - SOLD
