I have never called Pizza, Pizza...............I'll explain, where I come from we have always said............"going out for some pies, how many should I bring home?"............it was understood that "pie" was Pizza, and not Apple........why am I saying this??...........my goo-bah Sgandurra and I had a bit of a "discussion" as to what Italians call things.............after ten minutes 'we" just gave up and said.............."whatever"

Anyway, I have not had dinner, do not want to heat up the meatloaf, so off I go for a 'pie'..........garlick, anchovy, and pepperoni I promiss not to speak to anyone till tomorrow

Oh, Bob...............what do you want on your half of the 'pie'?

Don't need a "Craftsman Toolbox" on my "pie"! I eat them just like in old Napoli - crust, sauce, mozzarella and some basil - DONE!!!

So, can I assume you are "Naplitan"? I still go down on Bleeker Street for John's brick-oven 'pies"...he claims they make their own Mozzarella, but for just made 'Moot-za-rel' I have a place in Bayridge, BTW, have you ever had squid-ink pasta?

I will not eat Northern Italian gastronomy, too much like French, I am a true peasant and only eat that which is from the agrianian Italian south.................."hey Vinny, stop hogin the veal-n-peppers, and leave some for the rest of us, no wonder your brother calls you a 'Pu-ton"

Of course!! We're the ultimate multi-cultural country (as distinct from a "melting pot", which I've heard you folks are supposed to be). There's a Little Italy in Toronto (and a Chinatown, and a Greek community, etc etc). I actually live in a predominantly orthodox Jewish community. I'm a "goyam", so I don't socialize much, but it makes for a nice quiet neighborhood.

Just remember - like any other culture, the food here in the U.S. IS vastly different than "back in the ol' country"! Ready for some Spaghetti alla puttanesca????
