    What year fenders are interchangeable?

    what year fenders could i use on my 87 wagon.

    80 - 91? The only thing that changed was the nose, right? Fenders, hood are the same

      82-87 for sure. I think some 79-81 fenders were finned... not sure though. 88-91 are different in the wheel arch if not body lines too.

        I think its just trim differences, not actually in the shape of the wheel arch. Early Mercury fenders were finny, the Vic ones were not. Some Mercury fenders (88+??) have extra holes for the trim. Some have ditch lights and some don't, but you can add or remove that as needed if you had to.

          I know for a fact that the wheel arch is different on the roundy bodies as the trim I got from an 85/6 did not fit mine at all. The 88-91 has more arch and the 87- are a little flatter topped in the arch. It's not much, about half to one inch if that much, but enough to keep the trim from fitting.
