    Whale Paint Problems

I actually went to check out a 2007 Marquis yesterday at one of our Ford dealerships. Pretty low mileage at only 18000...but I noticed on the C-pillar pieces of paint that were just flaking off on both sides. There was also one patch flaking on the B-pillar as well that someone tried to cover up with what looked like nail polish. This car had three owners in that short time, at least one of 'em didn't really care about it as noticed by several other marks and blemishes.

So did the last Marquis leave the plant with sub-par paint? Or does it just not hold up well to neglect? If I'm gonna consider browsing around looking for one then I'd like to know what to keep my eyes peeled for.

I'm not sure if they ever really corrected the problem. I've seen later whales on CVN that have peeling paint. The performance white is by far the worst. The hood on my 04 came off in sheets out of the blue when my grand pop owned it. Literally one day it was fine the next it was flying off in chunks.

The paint on my 2000 Grand Marquis would be just fine if it wasn't for the rust, stone chips, and whatnot.

I'd assume since my 06 is a cop car, it has lesser than quality paint. But almost all white whales I've seen have massive amounts of paint peeling. My WHOLE roof peeled off. That's why It's been painted

          Oh and.

You're buying too many goddamn cars, jesus.
