For those of you that have utilized the products from Plasti-Dip, listen up!
They make a product called VLP which is utilized to mend/fix rips and tears in vinyl roofs.
The product comes in a tube and goes on clear, and is supposed to remain that way............NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When the product dries and is subjected to the light of the sun all the areas so "mended" will turn to a brown color, similar to chocolate:-(
No warning or acknowledgment that this could happen on the descriptive verbiage within the packaging??
A call to the company with pictures of the damage proved to be a waste of time, as they stated that "we are not aware of any such effect of the sun on our product.........."
This is a cautionary tale, do not use this product on any vinyl roof exposed to the sun, which would effectively mean you can not use this product!
