I have to dig out pictures of my '67 Tudor white and red top Gal 500, man that was beautiful...the streets of NYC ate it up alive......abandoned it on the street after pulling the plates:-(

They are definitely getting rare because not many folks want a 'big car' anymore, especially not an 'old' one, lol...

I'm not surprised, very few people, let alone women my age (I'm 25) are into older vehicles, and if they are it's usually the generic late 60's/early 70's muscle cars that are perfectly restored. Not that there's anything wrong with that

BTW toploader, I love the color of your 2 door, and the matching vinyl!

There used to be a great junk yard in Northern New Jersey called Kobers in Washington.......you have no idea how many hundreds if not thousands of cars were up there!....a section for each make......I restored two '67 Fords just from what I was able to pick-n-remove!....let alone all the Studebakers he had there, place was sold for millions, as the land value went to the moon, and the family no longer desired to get their hands greasy:-(

Every once in a while I'll get a compliment on the car, even though it looks like crap compared to some that I've seen on here. I also get plenty of "man that things so old why don't you get yourself something better" or something along those lines, usually from people (like my aunt) who know nothing about cars and think that I get 5MPG or something.

While I was working on my car in the parking lot at my old apartment there was a kid, probably around 10 or so, who said how he really liked my car and though it was cool. A couple weeks ago another kid, probably about 14, commented on the car and also thought it was cool. For all I know the kids probably think it's something from the 1950's.
I had a lady (in her 40s, maybe early 50s) at the gas station today ask if I had the car in the Woodward Dream Cruise. I just smiled and said "no, it needs a lot of work" but she said it didn't look bad for its age. She said that she remembered these big cars being everywhere and now you don't see them so much and that she liked my car.

My coupe has spent limited time on the street... but its never been out that at least one person hasn't inquired about it.

I once wanted it to be a sleeper, but the exhaust, big wheels, and stance just seem to draw folks in. Most people scratch their heads when you say anything about a 2 door Crown Vic. The beauty of my coupe is... it has no badges on it anywhere. Just the small Ford script on the grille... which further adds to the confusion.

Boxes are still common down south but up here in the rust belt they are a rare site.

                        That's why I like them.

Rarely see boxes down here. '95 and newer GM's only.

Even aero's are getting scarce around here. Hell, seeing a B-body on the road is getting rare.

Mine attracts a lot of attention. When I first got it in 2006 it was all about the gas mileage, how it was expensive to run, how it was a Ford and it stands for "Found On Road Dead" blah blah blah...
Eight years later that has changed to more of a "man that's a nice car", "don't make them like that anymore", "that must ride some nice", "that's in good shape," etc.
It seems as though people's attitudes as a whole are changing a bit, finally. I also noticed many people who 10-20 years ago wouldn't be caught dead with a Ford are actually buying them now and liking them. I'm pretty sure I have the only box Town Car in the entire Labrador/Northern Quebec region.
Ultimately, I love my 88 Town Car and plan on keeping it as long as I possibly can. Other people's opinions have no effect on what I do with my stuff. I just wish the roads out of here were paved completely so I could drive to a ScottFest in comfort!
