    Need help identifying a part

I am putting the headlight trim back onto the 85' and am missing a couple of plastic screw holders that sit inside the header panel on the sides. Not sure if they turned brittle with age and fell apart or what. Anyone know where to get replacements or if Ford still has them?

I need some too for my 90 CV. They are stripped out. I will check with Ford asap.

Had the same issue with my '91 GMQ. All four of them were stripped out. I wonder if you can just mold some low temp plastic in the hole or fill it with something just to keep the screw in place?

My only luck have been at the junk yard. I'm sure they can be purchased new, but I haven't found them yet.

Nylon or olastic trim nuts or some such, yes you can buy them new from a place that caters to fasteners. And I don't mean fastenal, they will look at you like you have some mystery fastener that never existed if it is not a common selling item.
Goto auveco.com and look through the online catalog, they have a guest login to browse. If you have an independant fastener store they most likely sell auveco products, so take the number you find in with you. Theres a billion styles, so pay attention to size, shape, angle and intended screw guage.

Before you install them on the car, run your screw into them, you'll find out why you should do that soon enough.

At our shop we buy fasteners from Pointe Products, they may have what you are looking for, but I don't think they have brick and mortar stores. They stock automotive fasteners which are broken down by auto manufacturer, Auveco is one of the brands.

So as it turns out Aeros and Whales use same plastic inserts for the corner lights. They only have one on each side though. So if anyone is looking for some, whales are plenty at the junkyard.

According to Ford, the screw holder is non replaceable part of the header panel on the boxes. It shows up on the diagram however does not have a part number. Best bet is either the junkyard or as others have said a fastener vendor. Did not think of checking whales.
