Doors slightly crooked on 1990 MGM

I have messed with them quite a bit trying to line them up correctly, but I am still getting that annoying grind, hurting my beautiful door and car body. Anyone dealt with this before?

yeah that's pretty common. If you lift up hard with the door open is there play/movement?

Yes, and when I lift it up while opening it i don't get the grinding as well. Where could I get some hinges, aside from the junk yard?

I got a brandy new hinge from someone here (lower driver side) for my Lincoln (uses the same as the fronts on boxes) and it sorted the sagging issue. Might have been WagonMan. I don't have the PMs any more, otherwise I would check.

You can either put in new pins and bushings (sold at your friendly neighborhood autoparts store)

or you can find a junkyard hinge that looks in good shape. I went that route since one of them was bent. A third option could be simply realigning the doors. I had a body shop do mine for around $15 per door. They also put shims under the front hinges and now they close just fine.

I almost feel like I'd rather pay $15 / door than deal with the headache

Doubt you may be able to get someone to do them for $15 a door but if you can I would certainly do so!

if I could pay someone $15 per door to rebuild or replace the hinges, I would do it in a minute. It takes me longer than $15 to unbolt the things.
