    thats just the mark of a cheapo cylinder then. For me, that wouldn't be an issue, but I leave my keys in the ignition so I'd probably never notice that it was messed up.

      X2 on the cylinder being bad. I had the same thing happen to one of the Lincolns. If you can find a Motorcraft part, that is the way to go.

          They have been OEM and in point of fact, the dealer installed the last two (with the last one on their "dime")! I always try NOT to use aftermarket parts for most of my repairs.
