I think it looks sick. Leave ALL of the polished trim polished. I think it will look great.

Ah, ok, vinyl stick-on wrap. I've only ever seen that used for advertising type stuff, not in place of paint. Looked like you had sprayed parts of the car with satin black, which is why I was confused. I find myself constantly befuddled by words that mean something different than they used to, so I wasn't sure if I was having one of those old fart moments or what. "Sick" is one of those words. I associate that with barfing, but other people apparently believe it is the pinnacle of bad the fuck ass.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

That looks awesome.
One question though. Won't that stuff trap any moisture that finds its way in? Like under the fender lips and such?1990 MGM: $50 E7 heads, HO cam, Holley SysteMAX lower intake, HO upper intake with an Explorer TB. LSC ECM. Lincoln logs into stock dual exhaust. K&N drop in air filter. Wide ratio AOD, 2400 converter with a 3.08 one tire fire out back. Car is less slow now. Then there's the '92 Beater. Dual 2.25" exhaust with shiny tips. Rumbles nice. Super slow. Burns oil too.

Wow, I was not expecting so much positive reception, I was expecting a lot of negative comments. I really appreciate it though guys =]

You have to properly prime, apply, and post-heat the material. If you over stretch it, the vinyl will just fail in a week. Just to give you guys an idea, I've wrapped at least 1,200 vehicles; 300-400 of those being commercial/fleet Chevy 1500/Ford vans, at least 100-150 high end vehicles like 40ish raptors/F150's, 10-20 different Ferrari variants, 4 Audi R8's, a few Porche's, I've done like 5 boats, an indie car, I even wrapped a coffin. I could go on and on lol, but this is why I am forming my own business doing wraps. Anyways, the other side is nearly finished. The back fenders will have to wait for some more primer, I'm out and they are going to be a beast to wrap >.<1991 Grand Marquis LS blog- Mayhem; two 12" Kenwood 800w subs, True dual catback, BBK shorties, cherrybombs, steel top, L/H hella lights, 18" AR Torq thrust, Trans cooler, class 3 hitch kit, more on the way...

bit of detail on tuck cuts
I'm really loving the way it looks without the chrome wheel well trim. To counteract the elements getting under the vinyl you just tuck it as far as you can and give it plenty of post heat.
Driver side trim wrapped, I like it
I'm going to need more primer for the 2x rear fenders and f/r bumpers... I might be able to do the rest of the roof tomorrow.1991 Grand Marquis LS blog- Mayhem; two 12" Kenwood 800w subs, True dual catback, BBK shorties, cherrybombs, steel top, L/H hella lights, 18" AR Torq thrust, Trans cooler, class 3 hitch kit, more on the way...

I wish I knew as much about engine work as I do about electronics, but we can't all be good at everything.

Very cool! How easy is that to take care of? I know matte black paint is usually terrible to keep looking good, but imagine vinyl wouldn't have that problem, how well does it hold up to UV radiation over the years?-Phil
