One uses a clay bar to remove impurities in the surface of the paint like baked on bugs, sap, debris etc etc. Ensures a nice clean and baby bottom smooth surface for your wax to be applied onto.
Clay bar is just what it sounds like. A Bar of clay. Lube in the form of detailing spray is applied to the clay and surface of the vehicle. Always work in small sections and do not run the clay dry. Always keep it gliding on the surface. Every so often kneed the clay to reveal unsoiled portions.~David~
