I'm looking into a new paint job for my brown on brown box. Problem is this; while there are any number of colors I'd love to paint, I just can't imagine any other color matching well with the brown interior. So my question is has anybody tried or seen anything like this? Pictures would be amazing. If I can't get a preview, I'll most likely just keep her in the original rosewood two-tone, much as I'd love black, candy red, maybe even white.

Brown of Brown is safe and looks right. I had a green on brown that looked really sharp. Last months 93 Crown Vic was exactly that color combo. It is a medium dark green metallic and a light brown/saddle gut, beautiful. Town cars came with that color combo also. I have seen sport cars in RED with brown interiors that also look awesome.
If you went with green, the shade would be really important. Ford also had a more Spruce green in that era that i never liked.03 Marauder DPB, HS, 6disk, Organizer Mods> LED's in & Out, M&Z rear control arms, Oil deflector, U-Haul Trans Pan, Blue Fuzzy Dice

If you're trying to go with a color that could have been stock body color, beige might work with brown interior.
Maybe burgundy, black, or white might work.
I think the real thing that matters is that it looks good to you. (Any color will look good from my house!)
If you want to paint it taxi cab yellow that might actually work as a color combo but I wouldn't do it.Vic

Some flavor of tan works fine with brown, but not much else. Honestly I never thought the rose color worked quite right with it either. The earlier rose cars had more of a reddish brown interior vs the cars with other colors and brown interior.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
