LED's are gross, nothing beats the warm loving glow of an incandescent.
HID's, well, let's just say there's a reason they are illegal.2020 F250 - 7.3 4x4 CCSB STX 3.55's - BAKFlip MX4

I wanna get some of those halos for 4-eyes for the box. I would love some hids in the vic, but poverty beams are more likely for me (the cheapo "hid" that's not a real hid that doesn't require modifying the housings). LED setup in the vic is happening... blues in the doors, whites in the foot wells... may eventually do more as I get time and want-to (though with a newborn, the want-to for this stuff has gone to zero).

Working toward all LEDs on the interior, blue LEDs in the cluster, EATC, doors, and dome light so far. Exterior lighting is all stock and likely to stay that way, but at least I did make my own relay harness for the headlights.Vic

Running 6k LEDs in the Tank. Eventually, the whole car will be done. This contributes towards the ecomod project; less draw on the charging system.
And they're bright as fuck.
Not sure on headlights yet.

youd be suprised at how well the PnP ones turn out. if you adjust them after install you wont bother people. i had the same thing with mine then i adjusted them and i dont have a problem now and can still see fine.Charlette - Brown 1977 Ford LTD - 351 Windsor 155K, Full Custom Pioneer system, green HID, interior & underbody

I dont care much for the super bright head lights. Even the factory ones. Many donot have them adjusted correctly even those that are can be dangerous to other drivers and pededrians. Twicw I have been so blinded by oncoming traffic causing me to almost run ovefr a guy another time a mom her son and the baby she was carrying. Mabey they are good for the car there in but not for others. Here were nothing is flat and lots of curvy narrow roads its also bad. Most roads also have at least a foot drodp off at the shoulder or a gorge. Trucks with them can be an issue as they might be loaded down causing the head lights to be aimed improperly.
In my boxes I run std lights for low beams and silver stars for high beams figure it works best that wayScars are tatoos of the fearless

that makes sense... considering indianas countryside is nothing but a checkerboard of straight roads and cornfields, thats probably why i dont have any issues.Charlette - Brown 1977 Ford LTD - 351 Windsor 155K, Full Custom Pioneer system, green HID, interior & underbody

The two times with almost running someone over were out side Detroit. One might think they have no issues but your not in the car were the driver was blinded. I have on occasion when blinded from the rear turned my rear view mirror to reflect back at them there own lights. They dont seem to like that much more than I did. There are reasons for SAE lighting standards. Blinding someone at just the right second and a persons recovery time from it can cause a accedent you never see and you and possibly no one else can figure out. How do you react when someone comes at you or up behind you with brights on?Scars are tatoos of the fearless

Just did a set of 4656 low beam HID's on ours this past November, while the car was off the road for the winter. The wife was complaining the headlights sucked. Could never get the aim quite right. The HID's solved that problem. She's been "hi-beamed" a couple times, but that's it. These are high quality ones - they weren't cheap, I can tell you that much. Manufacturer stated these are the exact same units by the same manufacturer used in high end BMW / Mercedes. No way to really prove that, but so far they've been great. Car has been back on the road since mid April.
Can really see the color temperature difference when on high beam - makes the stock high look yellow. Improved her night time visibility BIG time. Best thing I've ever done for this car. We've owned it 10 years this January -204k miles, driven daily in the warm months. Only saw one winter.
