Bought two "grit guards" today for when I wash the cars. The grit guard fits on the bottom of a 3-5 gallon wash bucket. As you wash the car,any debris falls through the grit guard and sits at the bottom of the bucket. The sponge or mitt that you use to clean the car will not pick up the debris. A few auto detailing sites have them. I found Amazon has the least expensive price . Two grit guards for $20 including shipping. I found out about the grit guard when I was watching a car detailing video. It seem to be a good idea.
