When I took aout the six 15mm bolts that held my 88 town cars rear bumper in, there where these rubber like pads by the mounting bracket that fell apart(crumbled)...whats a good replacement for these?

I think on my car we found some sheet rubber from a floor mat or something and did the old slice and dice.

Thats what I was thinking......more along the lines of heavy cardboard...but rubber would be more durable/resist to weathering
