Well I talked to the seller and he has provided me with an installed picture of this particular product onto a customers car. Like Bob's this will be 1" thick as well. Nice! I ordered bunch of clips as well. Should look really good once installed...Well until the compressor (or something else) decides to puck its guts onto it. lol

Dave, as long as the quality is the same as the one I received I think you will be more than happy. It will be a wonderful finish to a car that already looks great!! Bobby

I bought my son an 1988 Grand Marquis a few weeks ago. The hood liner is definitely old and ragged and needs to be removed. Does the vehicle have to have the liner or would it be ok to remove the old one and leave it as is? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Many folks run without one but I prefer to have it as it adds a nice finished look. Bobby

not needed. My 88 doesn't have one any more. I wouldn't put a new one in until all engine bay gaskets and seals are known good and not leaky as it'll just soak the new one with flammable fluids again and defeat the purpose.

I need to get one for my whale body Crown Vic, but I'm also thinking of something a bit more custom, like an airbrushed Panther stencil.
