Best Guess Body to Door Seals?

Does anyone know what the best guess for a Body to Door seal is? I know there's NOS, or finding one in the junker, but neither options have presented themselves to me (Junkyards around here are scarce to find 80's panther parts...anything at all is a hunt). I've been looking online, it seems like Fairchild Industries has a pretty close match in two different styles of seals:

This first one I think would work better:

But there's also this one that is a bit longer, which might help?

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this, I've been searching the forums and google to try and find something, and have been coming up empty. The seals on the Mercury are starting to go pretty bad.

looks like the second one is more correct.

I'm pretty sure. At least that's what it pulled up when I put in my 88 as the car of choice.

I literally found me weatherstripping. I have pictures of the measurements posted somewhere on the forum of the pieces I found. They worked great so match that stuff up and you should be good to go. This is the one piece of significant weatherstripping that we do not have a replacement for as of yet.

Alright, I guess I'll go diggin'. The JCWhitney stuff was also what came up as the choice for mine too, and looking at the measurements it might be just right. But we'll have to see.

              Found it! http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthre...l=1#post472370

Judging from the pictures, it seems almost like the first one is a closer match, being that it seems more rounded than it does elliptical. That being said, 5/8 long and 11/16 wide isn't that big of a difference from each other.

Just to make sure, that stuff that you found fits your box alright?

Yeppers. Been on now a couple years. Had to do a little tweak* with the door window frames but after that everything was great.

*window down and pull the frame inwards toward the car. Also included massaging of the lip the weatherstripping sits on.
