The reason the never dull is not working is that there is a clear coat on the wheel and you need to remove that fist and then you can make them shine like a star!!! Been there,done that and might try it again soon!!!'88' MGM wagon (mine and my sons toy)

Exactly there is a coating that I wouldn't even bother painting over before stripping either.~David~

I have those same wheels on my 88 Town Car. I'm considering painting it all black except the outer rim. It may not look good since the inner part of the rim is gray which would have to be painted over. I may get some cheap paint and paint over the clear coat, and if I like it I can strip it down to the metal and do it right, or leave it until it flakes off then pressure wash it off.88 Town Car (wrecked, for sale)
