LED turn signal flashing rapidly (i have seached this before posting)

I know Im a noob here!
I did research other threads about this topic......

I did replace the turn signals with led lights......and I know I need a flasher relay or heavy duty type

But not sure where to put it, or where to find the old one...looked under the fuse box,
and relay housing next to my battery.

Its for a 2004 grand marquis...any could help me find it, or have a part number?

    ....btw...this place is awesome

You don't have a flasher, you have a LCM (lighting control module) and they do not like LEDs. You have to wire in resistors to your circuits or buy the more expensive "CANBUS error-free" style replacement LED bulbs.

Hhhmmmm.. that site says that bulb-out and turn signal issues may not be the same problem... but I bet you are fine. It sounds like these satisfy the resistance values for the European warning systems, and I don't see why that wouldn't satisfy the LCM. Let us know how the bulbs look, especially in direct sunlight. I'm curious how the latest design ones work, and those look like they are it. They are evolving very fast, thats why I haven't updated mine yet...! lol

                  Will do.

Since my turn signal is flashing like crazy (for the time being)....this wont damage the LCM?

nah... the light load that causes the fast flash won't hurt it. it's typically the long term regular loading that ends up burning up the relays in the LCM. Non-replaceable relays (they're soldered to the board... gotta desolder them and run wire harnesses if you ever replace them instead of replacing the whole module) and expensive module makes for many DIY fixes.

Well 85Crown, it turns out your half right.

I put the Cambus blubs throught....whats strange, is that when my head lights are on, my passagner side turn siganl
                        blinks at the normal pace.

However,My drivers side is rapid blinking

When my headlights are off, they both blink rapidly....
I will post a pic soon

ok... that is weird. I'm thinking multifunction switch.

I'm out of ideas due to the LCM issue.
