    $250 for new windshield!?

I got a quote for $247 + tax for a new windshield installed into my 1986 Mercury Grand Marquis LS.

Sounds like a cool deal to me.

You're in Canada, stuff is more expensive, sounds good to me.

That's the low end of what I'd expect to pay. These are BIG windsheilds and I doubt they still make new ones.

I must have gotten lucky, I had one installed for just under $200 a couple of months ago.

That's not too bad. In Indiana, some wrecking yards wanted $75US just to obtain a good windshield, and you're on your own for installation. One place wanted just $50, but he didn't have any good ones. My mom got all excited once and called a couple of body shops without my knowing about it, and was told about $200US installed as of about 2005.

the one for the 93 was $190... but then I opted for the PGW instead of the XYG. Carlite would have been about $250 here.

You had a choice of brand??

Wait ... so they actually still make new windshields for these heaps?

                            $250 sounds about typical.
