After putting some miles on it. The car does seem quieter once moving think its NVH noise from air getting under the car gone. At idle seems noisier mostly engine noise being reflected back under the car that used to go out the front.
I dont know if it applies any down force but havent taken it over 80 90 or so. The front dosent seem to float air not pushing up under the car so I think its more like nutrailizing it adding weight to the front. Seems to coast better even at lower speeds. Find I am going 5 to 10 MPH faster without thinking and letting up on the throttle more often and longer than before driving my normal routes.
I also cut holes in the front bumper and the inner bumper. The inner was done long ago when it was in the blue car to cut down weight.
Poundered the bumper cutouts for years. Thoughts about the little nerf bumpers on the front blocking air once it hit the bumper could only go upwards or down under the car and not out the sides bugged me. So now the trapped air has somewere to go straight into the rad.
My water temp gage seems to stay much closer to 180 thaan ever even on these hotter days lately. Still need to make the bottom pannel from the bottom of the bumper to the bottom of the rad support. Once that is done air entry into the rad is boxed in.
Aha enough of that crap you all realy want to know what it came off of. After lots of trips to junk yards looking at different ones found what looked to fit the best. Unfortunaty most of them were dammaged.

You mean that piece of black plastic on the bottom of the bumper? pffbt! And the 88+ Crown Vics have that. Grand Marquis probably too.
Well here is what I used. Tried to submit a pic like the one guy did thought it would be amusing. Looks like they wont approve it or dont believe it was purchased from them and installed on a Ford.
Wow, 40 bucks. Nice deal. And probably a ton in junkyards too.
Wonder how it'd fit on a 88+
A lot of the junk yard ones were busted or twisted up. I looked at a lot of vehicles in car lots , parking lots etc. Some even on rangers s10s, vans anything thoughts of splicing a couple of the too short ones togeather.
Awesome! Love the way that front air dam looks. I totally can believe that it helps the aero too. Thank you for doing the R&D. I've been thinking about doing something like this for a while... I'm seriously thinking about doing what you did now. Could you post some pictures on how you mounted it?

It does require removal and dissasembly of the inner and outer bumper. Adding of some holes in the dam and some in the bumper are required. Some grinding out of the dam is required around the pockets in front of the air dam. Some C clamps to line things up. Some extra U clip fasteners such as the inner and outer bumper are held togeather with along with the bolts. The middle pockes in the dam center kinda line up with the bolts and washers through the little push bumpers. Some adjustments between them and the center of the dam is needed to follow the bumper line. The center needs to come forward a tad. Out side the mini push bumpers need to be pushed forward to follow the bumper to the ends. The pocket in the middle thin section needs to be cliped a bit to allow the dam to be bent forward toward the end of the bumper.
This gives a rough idea of what is required.
