Exterior Column B Plastic...Supposed to light up at night?

Hey all, please see the attached picture. Is that plastic supposed to light up at night? Is there a bulb or two behind it? I don't want to tear this open if it isn't supposed to.

yea, im almost positive that they should illuminate when you turn your lights on. just like on the old box panthers. how you ask? no idea lol. i have never had a chance to study any at the wrecking yard. maybe if you take a close pic of the light, maybe we can help!

Ok. When I get back into town I will take some more close up pictures or even try to get the cover off and see whats underneath.

yes, those normally light up but I've also never looked at how it might operate on a roundy model. I'd bet its the same as a box, in which case you probably need to access the bulbs by removing the interior B pillar trim and reaching inside.
