    Factory Wheels

I know there has to be a thread somewhere covering this (or 1,000) but is there an official name to lincoln wire wheels? I really would like to change the hubs/steelies to a nicer OEM ford wheel.

    These wires are nice.

Are they hard to get? Are these the same? (Fourth ones down)

the ones on the first link, are extreemly rare. i belive kelsey hays made em for lincoln. but, they were not listed in the brochure. they also made em for cadillacs. i would be a happy man if i could find those, or cragar star wires(which are 1600bucks a set). those in the second link, are aluminum with wires. they are a factory option and they are hard to come by and i dont plan on selling mine, off the lincoln. even if i do find real wire wheels. ill put em on the wagon lol

How do they differ? Do you have a pic of any car sporting the second set?

the factory ones, like on my lincoln, they are a one piece aluminum rim with a few stainless spokeson the outside for decoration/simulation. they fancy, rare kelsey hays rims, they are a two piece steel, chrome rim with the spokes holding the two peices together. the real deal. they are comparable to the wire wheels used on lowriders.

your town coupe would look sweet with lacey spoke turbines.

Those Lincoln wire alloys look sweet all polished up... if I ever get an older box Towny that's what I'd want.

The Lacy Spoke Turbine is a nice looking wheel. If anyone is thinking of getting a set be careful with the center caps. They are not the same as the regular turbines (smaller). I found that out the hard way...

Yeah and the bitch of the whole thing is that the turbine was much more popular and that is what you usually find.
