    1991 gmq chrome?

I have just a little surface rust on the bottom of one quarter. I am lousy at body work. So I was just gonna clean it up the best I can, bondo it, and find chrome trim for the lower perimeter of the car. I have no idea what this called to do a proper search. was this even an option on 1991 gmq ls? Is there an after market option such as something I can trim with a cutoff wheel and stick on?

You can purchase some diamond plate trace out what you would like to cover in cardboard...transfer to the diamond plate stock..either use double sided automotive tape or just silicone the whole thing on with some permitex.

I'd cut out the rust, rivet in a patch, cover the area with rust convertor (or something similar) and then tap in the patched area and then apply your diamond plate (or equivalent).

I know in 1988 Grand Marquis' no longer had the same body moldings as Crown Vic's did, but they may have switched over to an option in having something like some Town Car's I have seen had...such as a shiny flat chrome (or aluminum piece) covering the lower body portions.

Send me a pic of what you are dealing with an I can show you how I fixed up some things in the past.
