3rd brake light text display

Is it possible to rig up one of those led (lcd?) text display jobs in place of my 3rd brake light? I don't think wiring it up will be the issue, but don't know anything about the displays at all, and I don't know whether or not they fire up and display text right away (so I could power/trigger it w/ the brake light wiring that exists). I basically want it to tell people tailing me to fuck off

Go to Crappy Tire and buy one of their LED liscense plate surrounds, which does exactly what you describe.
