    which side?

For the driver's side, you can access the bulbs through a port in the storage compartment on that side in the cargo area. You can access the bulbs, but contorting your hand to do so is quite a bitch. For me, it's easier to remove the two nuts holding the light bucket from where they are by the tailgate hinge, and then there are two more inside the access hole inside the storage compartment.

On the passenger side, remove the cover for the spare tire and you'll be able to access the rear of the bucket. If you want to remove the bucket, there are two nuts on the inside accessible from the spare tire well, and there are two acorn-shaped nuts just inboard of the light housing when you open the rear door.
