Its the same as a regular window motor. If the motor itself will run, you can just rebuild it. Most of the time the little plastic plugs have fallen apart. If the motor won't go, you just need a window motor. They are available at most parts stores, or new. Avoid the cheap Chinese made Ebay motors, they're junk. I've actually had better luck overhauling the old Ford ones than with anything else.

Check and see if you have power at the motor connector before replacing it. Have someone work the switch while you hold a voltmeter or test lamp across the two leads. No sense replacing the motor unless you can verify its got power first. The switch itself could be bad, or it might have a blown fuse.
And yeah, not the best place for a switch but I think its a matter of noplace else to put it. The antenna switch is also not very well placed if you ask me.

Bought one - they had a wholesaler closeout. I paid $37 for it shipped to my house. No core or anything! Rock Auto is great.
And just FYI, Rock Auto is having a huge closeout on Motorcraft parts. I bought a set of brake pads for my Mustang and radiator hoses for 5 different vehicles.
