    Box Panther Rear Decklid

    When did they stop putting the plastic/chrome license plate insert/recess in the Crown Vics? Just curious.

    Not sure of your question but i know after 87 the entire trunk area changed. And the only year of the chrome tag bucket is 79.

      79 only for the chrome bucket

      1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
      2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature. Stock for now

        speaking of decklids...i wish i could get one with the fake spare tire hump that lincolns had..

            So it's a '79 only thing. I really should make some arrangements about the CV I see every other day a few miles away from me. It's got the slotted front bumper and the chrome license bucket. Plus, I'd like to take the front clip off of the car as well. I'll see what I can do.

                I'm not sure how comparable the sizes are, but if you could find a Mark VI trunk lid...or make one outta fiberglass using a wooden semi circle as a template.

                Or go full conti-kit. That's what I plan on doing sooner or later.
