    just got the Deuce repainted!!

Here she is, fresh out of the body shop with 99% of the trim re-installed! Still have a few more pieces to install, but after that I'll be good for a while.

I had an old thread about me getting it ready for paint, but that was last year. Don't feel like finding it again.

So here's a photo of it before paint...

And three with fresh paint, and my '79 front fascia with '79 tails! All I really need now is the license bucket to match lol. Hope you guys enjoy!

For those that didn't know, this is what it looked like before. Sides were wrinkled and still had all the '85 model trim on it.

Very nice paintjob, but why's the rear bumper look like it's hanging?

That vehicle is looking EXTREMELY nice! Don't forget not to wax it for at least a month so that paint can cure and through-harden as much as possible. I simply adore the mag slots as well, best wheel you can run on these cars IMO. Shine 'em up! *wipes drool from chin*

The pinstripes were cool and all, but I love it solid black. On one of my days off this week I'll be pulling off the slots and cleaning them up as good as possible.

Not sure if anybody noticed, but I did something a little different with the mirrors lol.

                    You put on round mirrors...

I have thought more than once about moving the mirrors forward to make for easier viewing, but, I've never done it.

                    Looks good mang!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did that set you back?

Yeah, it looks like the top bolts are loose or missing.

                              Ran me $860.

And about the rear bumper... well, got rear-ended pretty hard by an Astro a few years back lol. Twisted it and it even bent the supports. I have yet to get the bolts to even budge on it, they've pretty much become part of the rear end on the car.

Sadly enough, my rear bumper still looks better than a lot of the ones I've seen around where I live, they're all rusted out and faded lol.

And I got my mirrors from Summit!
