all of the trim will be removed as much as possiable, the vynl will be removed and flat blacked where the vynl used to be, i dont have much use for chrome trim pieces , i it as a rust factor there isnt much rust and i like to keep it that way but i am thinking on painting the bumbers as well im just wondering how long the paint will stick lol
the worst thing is hand sanding sucks!!!!!89 townie, mild exhuast up grades, soon to have loud ass stereo....

Dear Panthers,
Some Menmonites don't drive cars, some do and some compromise by painting all chrome black. Righteous!

If your trim is in good shape, I may be interested in it. Most of mine is shot, and I'd like to acquire some nice replacement stuff. If yours is all pitted though, I've got that already86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Give a man a fish and he will be fed for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will promptly forget that he once did not know, and proceed to call anyone who asks, a n00b and flame them on the boards for being stupid.

i hope you are gonna go thru effort of black sanding the car with a dark guidecoat to see dents that should be fixed and such... should do it the right way to avoid ruining a nice towncar...
guidecoat, sand to find dents, dings and high spots....
fix problems...
prime it and then block sand to find small imperfections with a different color than primer...
sand it with 400 or 600 grit to get ready for paint...
shoot paint and clear it within a couple hours to avoid issues...
1200 or 1500 sanding after cleared to get rid of orange peel and then use hi speed buffere and keep buffer moving to avoid burning thru the paint...
after buffing, use anti swirl on polisher and then wax...
sounds easy and trust me it aint.

That and it gets dirty really fast. You see hand prints and everything ten times easier.~David~
