    Door hinge pins & bushings. 1980 lincoln

    why can i not find a hinge bushing and pin kit for my 1980 lincoln mark vi? every one line place i have checked doesn't show them.
    any help?

    My best guess that you cant find them is because well like all of our cars they are old and unpopular and people dont see the need to make items for them.

        Check any auto parts store that carries the HELP line. They have a wide selection of little parts that go bad over time. Such as door pin kits, bushings, pedal pads, door window handles, power window switches, etc. They also have a website, where you can check ahead of time , to see if it is in fact available. In fact, I'll check it right now, so I can give you the correct address, and possibly get a part #.

            thanks for looking, i look all around that site and couldnt find anything. maybe if i new the detentions it could be possible find one that would fit the bill.

                when we did the pins in my brothers thunderbird (a fox platform) he used the door pins for a ford truck, they are just longer. just had to cut off the excess.

                  i cant remember what i use......i just grab a couple packs off the help rack, and return what i dont use......i know i used a chrysler pin and bushing kit on yucatechs tailgate lol

                  1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
                  2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature. Stock for now
                  1989 Ford F-250 4x4 much much more to come, sefi converted so far.
