Little plastic fragile thingys that retain lower rear window trim?

anybody know of where to get a bunch. There are eight and out of the eight i managed to get TWO off successfully. Luckily i wont be needing them until after my car is painted, whenever that is, but nontheless i will be needing them.

    all help is appreciated.

Got any pics of these things? I am going to be taking the vinyl off of my mom's CV in late May in preparation for paint and I would like to know what I'm getting into.

they are the lil plastic caps over the pins the trim snaps to. they slide sideways off... not straight up and off... they are notched to slide onto the pin thing like a TV cable connects to a '86 throttle body arm sorta

I don't even look at mine because I'm afraid they'll break. You would have thought they'd carry these in the Help! section since they break so often. The Lawson website was posted awhile back and from going through the automotive fastener catalog it seems that they may carry the clips though I haven't found them yet. http://www.lawsonproducts.com

No that's basically what it is mang. Thing is, you just need to see which way it needs to slide to remove it. Next time I go to the junkyard I'll see if I can pocket that shit for you. I have broken ones too, and I never even messed with those things.

I got a nice soft set off a '91 CV in the junkyard. Every one of them came off no problem. Used them on my '82 though. Look for the latest model that has been garage kept at some point.

Oh, those things. Hadn't even known what they looked like underneath, but I'll be dealing with them plenty soon enough to suit me. How do they come off, anyway? Slide them carefully away from the recess that looks like a notch to pry them off with a screwdriver?

I always look to see which way they are pointing, to make sure i slide them the right way, then put the flat end of a flatblade screwdriver against the side of the keeper, with the end of the screwdriver flush to the metal trim piece, and GENTLY tap on the screw driver to slide them off... I have broken only a couple doing it that way... Go to the junkyard, and practice on one of the cars in there, so that you know how they work when you get to your car... And if you get some off at the junkyard without breaking them, you will have spares!

I will be painting part of that trim piece tommorow getting the car ready for another car show... I'll take some pictures so you will see what I mean as far as how to get them off without breaking them...

It was also below freezing when i did it, i am sure that did not help my cause. And i would love to go to a yard but none are around the area i live. I have to travel over two hours just top get to one.

Yea but that price is insane. I understand you get 15 but 17 bucks for 15 clips. Damn.

But that is exactly what i was looking for.
