that's the term for it but it is sometimes referred to as a "Happy Meal" amongst some 4.6ers.

chyea, I know...gets me chuckling too.

ok mangs...I took the coward's way out...I dont have the time or facilities to do this work so I just bit the bullet and took it in...I'd prolly screw it up anyway. lol

Magna's cancer is now in remission.

and I must say for a Maaco job, WAY better than what I expected.
I was expecting to see spots of new and old paint all over and that was not the case.
the only major flaw was that part of the vinyl strip that goes above the molding(where the tutone stops) was not able to be saved in one small spot...as seen here.
and heck, I can live with it for a while...anyone know where I can find more of this strip?

          other pics...

          I like this shot

I'm really impressed how nicely they did with the rust on these corners...and fixing the bend in the weld...the bend was starting to cause a bug bubble on each side.

Wow, looks really good from the pics. If I still had the POS, it might be going in for a "quickie" as well.

Looks good! Did they just sand and paint, or did they do more to take care of the rust?
And dare I ask...how much $$? One of these days, I'm going to need to get my car resprayed...

                        thanx mangs.
it's gonna take some getting used to...I'm so used to seeing rust there so now I'm like in shock when I see it lol.
cost me about $1200 to get done..they sandblasted and put on Du Pont paint.
hopefully it wont come back for at least 2yrs.

they had to have done some filling to smooth out where the rust was... I hope they did for that price... it will defnitly stay away for a few years, but it will defnitly be back.

Nows the time to treat/undercoat everything you can, and look for a salty road beater

yea, there were a lot of spots they had to use filler...and on the back fender when they blasted, it went thru but they fixed it.

anyone ever think about undercoating the entire lower portion? i've considered it myself and dont think it would look to bad.
