Vinyl Top Repair

Anyway. I know most of you mangs are against vinyl tops. I happen to like mine. Now I have a few spots on my vinyl top that need to be repaired. I found out that there are some kits out on the market to repair the top. Now my question for you mangs is, have any of you used the vinyl top repair kit? And if so, how did it work. My vinyl top is mostly in good condition. I don't want to replace it if I don't have to, and I don't want to convert it to slicktop. So can you mangs help? Thanks in advance,

I have never used it, but the Eastwood kit is supposed to work pretty well, from the reviews I have read online.

I haven't heard very much good about vinyl repair kits. The biggest complaints I hear are either the color doesn't match, or the grain doesn't match up. Personally it'd bother me pretty bad if either of those happened because you'd see the area that was repaired very distinctly.

That is pretty much your only choice besides having it replaced, though.

I'll give it a try, besides how many whites can there be? I can always mix the colors to find the right shade.

Hehe, you'd be surprised as to how many shade's of white actually exist. Color matching is your friend though. You can also buy vinyl dye at some paint shops, and they will color match it for you, to your Vinyl top,seats etc.. before putting it into a aerosol spray can.

Well this thing is snow white, (very white) even when dirty lol.

How do they match it mang? And do they charge for that?
