Taillights are almost done and my new paint will start soon.

I am in the middle of working on the rear of the car. i molded in '59 caddy tail lights and made some adjustments to the roll pan area. To see the tail lights check out my cardomain page at the link in my signature. they are on page 4. tell me what you think. Oh i havent drawn in the headlights yet. I know im going to use the 88' chevy HIDs. But they come in chrome and black. I could get the black ones and take the cover off and paint the black the same yellow-orange as the flames or i could just get the chrome ones. Im going to think about it a little longer.

I think the orange would look cool, and I don't think anyone's done that before. Can't wait to see an update bro

        Funky! Very unique mod.

BTW, looks like you eliminated the tailgate but kept the retractable rear window? Did you pretty much just remove the hinges and weld it up?

The flames look like they could suit what you've done with the car. With your skill, though, I'd consider shortening the grille or something for a more streamlined look.

yeah the tailgate is just welded in. as far as streamline goes, i have a 4" cowl on the way and i plan on narrowing the front bumper and sinking it in a bit.

No im not adding a rear bumper. I am trying to figure out a way to add some type of chrome trim to the bottom though.

Narrowing and tucking the front bumper should be neat. mrltd had talked a while back about narrowing his rear bumper. I just might try it one of these days on the extra wagon bumper I have sitting around, since I tried the sedan bumper on the wagon and it just wasn't quite right.

Yeah i know all about that. i have an extra sedan rear bumper if anyone needs one. it was too narrow. and i decided putting a bumper back on wasnt creative enough. ill find another solution.

                    Looks great.

narrowing the front bumper should look great. I've been wanting to do my rear bumper, since the front on ine already is narrowed and tucked from the factory.

                      Is it a stripless one?

No sorry it has the black trim down the center of it. it is in really good shape though. some hairline scratches but they could buff out.

Why, are you looking for a stripless rear wagon bumper?

Weird! I actually like it a bit better than I expected. Good work!

I seem to detect some interesting-looking interior trim in the back. Got any panoramic views of the cargo area?
