there are two ways of doing that...
The first, you can slide the glass and gasket out of the frame of a donor car, and slide it into yours. Major, major work getting the glass to release. Very labor intensive, alot of cursing involved.
The second, the whole vent window assembly is held into the door with only a screw at the top, and a bolt at the bottom. Or is it three fasteners.? I can't remember exactly. It's been 3 years. Take the interior door panel off, that'll give you access to the bottom bolt (or screw), and the top screw (or two) is visible right there on the door frame. Remove them, and the whole unit comes right out. Replace with one from the donor car, and your are done. Pretty easy, and kinda quick, too.
I've done both. I recommend the second method.1987 Country Squire LX Wagon 5.0L: Daily Ride......1964 Lincoln Continental 430ci: Toy #1.

I replaced my vent window too - I remeber three screws on the window frame and one or two behind the door panel...
I had a harder time getting mine out though - the vent window frame is also the guide for the main window glass, so the glass wanted to hold it in, in any position. I could have just had it at the wrong angle and it should have come right out, but I got it eventually. I was kinda worried I was gonna break the main glass the whole time though :hairraise:Pete ::::>>> resident LED addict and CFI defector LED bulb replacements
