How different is the crank setup for a 4dr different from a 2dr? Or are they the same? If they're the same, there's an '88 or so with crank windows in a yard I go to.

I mean the innards of the crank windows. I know the damn door panels are 'a wee bit different.' You can always cut the damn door panels to make a spot work for cranks.

To finally answer you question (sorry I didn't check the thread earlier), the Ford 2-Drs got chrome (well actually annodized aluminium) trim on the rear side windows where as the Merc 2-Drs had the grainy top colored stuff.

Bowman85merc, full speed ahead with the slicktop conversion now that you have the Ford trim! It's interesting that the C-pillar seam is finished on your car. Mine wasn't.
