We rollered our shop derby car, and though we didnt really try to make it look good up close, standing 20 feet away from the car it looked like a great paint job. I wouldnt be afraid to give this a try.... If only I had a garage to work in.

I pass an orange 80's Mustang on my way to work and I may be Mr. Magoo, but I can tell it was rolled on from a block away. In a pinch I guess it'd work though, supposedly you can sand and buff a lot of the roughness out.

Looks nice Pirate. Your 'hood looks nice as well, a lot of mature landscaping/trees. The wheels on the 3-series needs the same paint as the body.

I always wanted to try the roller method on something I don't care much about, like a lawnmower or something. Not painting my car that way anyway but if the mower or whatever came out good, I'd consider it for a beater that I wanted to make look better.

Question, What is wet sanding? rest of it allready sounds familure. And woldent you need to strip your current paint all the way off? or at least down to the primer? Makes no mention of that....

You use fine grain sandpaper, and lots of water. It just smoothes the surface. Helps paint to stick better.

Also, it's used before buffing to help smooth the paint even further.
