I rattle-canned the roof on my car and it looked like ass but it was all one color (Chrysler Teal - bleh), not rusted, and had some sort of dull shine to it. The cars got all new paint now so the roof looks better. When I treat rust spots in general, I usually clean it up, Por15, prime, and then paint. I'm no body expert by any means though, but have had good luck with that method.

I used a little over a quart of actual paint on the sides on the wagon.

I bought a whole freggin gallon, it wasn't that much cost-wise if I remember correctly, somewhere in the $100 range. It was a single-stage urethane enamel, 3rd Dimension brand which is a cheap Sherwin-Williams line.

Even as wrong as it seems to the Bodymang side of me, I can't deny that I have seen some decent Rolled-On paintjobs.

My buddy did his 85 Blazer in Flat Black, and then Wet-Sanded and buffed the entire spiel. You could never tell that it was rolled on even up close, but he put a hell of alot of work into the wet sanding/buffing, which is the only reason why it came out as good as it did. I'd try it if I still had my old beatup F-150.

I will be trying this on my Green F-150 this summer. Paint is shitty, tons of dirt in it. Cant fuck it up too bad. Might paint er black or keep the green. Olive drab green on that jeep has got me thinkin now lol...
