      if absolutely necessary, you'd use a couple of rivets for positioning, holding it in place until the glue set up, but it's structurally not needed. The glue is plenty strong and sets up pretty quick. I just taped mine in until it hardened in about 15 minutes. Rivets add area that increases the possibility of corosion or cracks in the future, plus the rivet itself is usually of a dissimilar metal.

        Yeah exactly if you have to put a couple in to hold it but I really wouldn't it all possible. If you have access to maybe clam it into place that would be best to hold it till it sets up.

            I was neutral about it. Aside from cutting out the quarter and welding in a donor, it's probably what will need to be done. What are your thoughts on this? The POS is not a Pebble Beach sort of car, and I never want it to be one, so it doesn't have to be perfect. I just need to stop the cancer on this part of the car that can't be unbolted and easily replaced.
